Costs for teeth whitening procedures vary based on the degree of staining and discoloration.  Fees widely vary based on the city in which you live and the type of treatment recommended.  To clean a tooth it may cost $100 or less but a laser treatment usually ranges from $600 to $1,000.  At home whitening or bleaching trays can cost more if they are custom made and depend on the type of gel that you use.  At home whitening strips can be purchased at many stores for as little as $25.

Pricing and costs associated with teeth whitening and bleaching is dependent on the number of sessions or treatments recommended by the cosmetic dentist or required by the dental patient.  In most all cases, dental insurance is considered a cosmetic procedure and does not cover the costs incurred by teeth whitening office visits or procedures. Many family dentists provide such services as well as cosmetic dentists. Ask your dentist if they have any promotions for whitening procedures.
